Art 4
Art 4 Course Description
Students will continue to explore the concept of personal style through design choices similar to AP Studio’s more autonomous curriculum. To help guide them in this discovery, students are presented with the concept of a project series in portraiture, landscape, figure, and still life. Students will find some of their own subject and reference materials and interpret them in a manner more student-driven. Students will gain a greater understanding of their strengths and weaknesses while mastering major media and styles. The use of an art sketchbook to record their thoughts and idea development gains even greater significance throughout the course, acting as the student’s laboratory for the creation and exploration of new ideas.
